Chilly Visit to the Arboretum

Location: Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle, WA – Stolen Duwamish and Coast Salish land

Date: November 13th, 2018

Activity: Exploration stroll!

Tio Jamie came over and together we roused the kids and got them into their stroller, then we all rolled down the hill together.  Tio Jamie stopped to get a coffee (which was so poorly made he ended up having to throw it out) and while we were waiting, the kids and I ducked into the tiny dog grooming salon next door.  We found Sieh a super cute grey Seattle hoody, which I imagine Leeloo may end up borrowing too.

Leeloo was afraid of the traffic noise, so Sieh draped himself over top of her. He’s such a brave protector, taking care of his sister.

We started out at the south end of the arboretum, in the area with the trails where Sieh first really started trail-walking.  He’s such a competent walker now!

He yells when he wants out of the stroller, and then he’ll walk right by my side.

Leeloo went with tio Jamie,

and Sieh went with me.

We worked our way northward, taking breaks for exploration and rest.

So much is blooming, there are berries everywhere, and there are still some mushrooms to be found.

We hung out in the Winter Garden for a while, then headed back home.

Bonus pic of the Woodland Garden pond.  So different from just a couple of weeks ago!
